In Memory of Bobbi Jo Delphey Barber4th Annual "Bobbi Jo 5K Memorial Run/Walk" Race Day July 20, 2013 Registration Is Now Open!
Congratulations to Brady Wilt and Lillie Perella!!! First Place Finishers at the 3rd Annual "Turkey Chase 5K" Bobbi Jo was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, Aunt, youth coach and one of the most awesome people you'd ever have the fortune to come into your life. She was an outgoing, kind and caring person to all who knew her. Once you met her, you were instantly pulled toward her beautiful spirit and larger-than-life smile. Preregistered runners as well as race day registrants may check-in/sign up at the Eyler Park Pavilion beginning at 7:30 a.m. Preregistered runners will receive a technical race t-shirt as well as entry into race day prizes. Please come out and support an awesome cause for an awesome lady! ![]() The club was formed in early 2010 and the race began to take shape as a way to remember Bobbi Jo and all that she was to so many people. 2012 Memorial Scholarship's Awarded ![]() Justin Barber, Andrea Barber, Hannah Stone, Daniel Myers, Ashley Barber, Amanda McGuire On Monday, June 4th, 2012, Catoctin High School held their awards ceremony. This ceremony recognizes the many achievements accomplished by the graduating class. The children of Bobbi Jo, pictured above, presented the Bobbi Jo Delphey Barber Memorial Scholarships to Hannah Stone and Daniel Myers in the amount of $1500 each. The recipients were chosen based on their accomplishments and drive to succeed. Each of these applicants represent Bobbi Jo’s amazing spirit and passion for life. Always in Motion would like to congratulate Miss Hannah Stone and Mister Daniel Myers and the class of 2012! Best of luck to all of you in your future endeavors!
Funds for this scholarship are raised by Always in Motion, a Not for Profit organization formed by family and friends of Bobbi Jo. It is a great way to honor the memory of Bobbi Jo and continue her legacy of helping others. During her high school career, Bobbi Jo was a record setting athlete in track and basketball. After graduating from Catoctin High School in 1989, Bobbi Jo was a youth coach for softball, track, and basketball. |
