First Place Finishers at the 5th Annual "Turkey Chase 5K"
Why a 5K Race?
Bobbi Jo was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, Aunt, youth coach and one of the most awesome people you'd ever have the fortune to come into your life. She was an outgoing, kind and caring person to all who knew her. Once you met her, you were instantly pulled toward her beautiful spirit and larger-than-life smile.
Always In Motion, in keeping with that spirit, will host the "6th Annual Bobbi Jo 5K Memorial Run/Walk" on July 18, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. The race location will be at Eyler Recreation Park in Thurmont.
Preregistered runners as well as race day registrants may check-in/sign up at the Eyler Park Pavilion beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Preregistered runners will receive a technical race t-shirt as well as entry into race day prizes. Please come out and support an awesome cause, the Scholarship Fund, for an awesome lady!
The club was formed in early 2010 and the race began to take shape as a way to remember Bobbi Jo and all that she was to so many people.
The cause of the organization is to provide two scholarships to a deserving graduating senior boy and girl open to any Frederick County High School. In May 2011 the first two recipients of the scholarship awards received theirs at the Awards Banquet. Scholarships have been awarded each year and will be again on May 27, 2014 at the Catoctin High School Scholarship Banquet.

On Monday, June 4th, 2012, Catoctin High School held their awards ceremony. This ceremony recognizes the many achievements accomplished by the graduating class. The recipients were chosen based on their accomplishments and drive to succeed. Each of these applicants represent Bobbi Jo’s amazing spirit and passion for life. Always in Motion would like to congratulate Miss Hannah Stone and Mister Daniel Myers and the class of 2012! Best of luck to all of you in your future endeavors!
Funds for this scholarship are raised by Always in Motion, a Not for Profit organization formed by family and friends of Bobbi Jo. It is a great way to honor the memory of Bobbi Jo and continue her legacy of helping others. During her high school career, Bobbi Jo was a record setting athlete in track and basketball. After graduating from Catoctin High School in 1989, Bobbi Jo was a youth coach for softball, track, and basketball.
